TOOLBAR

The Mapping Utility toolbar provides the user the basic commands needed to create and manage a ButtonBox Desktop mapping file. It should be noted that some commands are not visible until an entry is selected in the mapping tree.

Shortcut keys (if available) are denoted in parentheses after each heading.

FILE NEW (Ctrl+N)
Used for creating a new mapping file. Placeholders for allowable categories will be created as root nodes although the web addresses will need to be modified.
FILE OPEN (Ctrl+O)
Used for opening an exisiting mapping file. If the current file has been modified, the user has the option of saving the current mapping data.
HINT: This application accepts dropped mapping files (tips).
FILE SAVE (Ctrl+S)
Used for saving the current mapping file and specifying its version information. (details)
FIND (Ctrl+F)
Provides the ability to search the labels and web addresses of the current mapping for the specified string. (details)
FIND NEXT (F3)
Repeat the previous find command.
OPTIONS
Launches the options dialog where user settings can be modified.
ONLINE HELP (F1)
Launches a browser window to the ButtonBox™ Mapping Utility online help.
EXPAND TREE (Ctrl+Right Arrow)
Expands all the children branches of the select node. (see example)
COLLAPSE TREE (Ctrl+Left Arrow)
Collapses all the children branches of the selected node. (see example)
ADD SIBLING (F7)
Add a node at the SAME level as the currently selected node. The user is limited to 6 siblings per level.
ADD CHILD (F8)
Add a subnode to the currently selected node. The user is limited to 6 children per node.
MOVE UP (Ctrl+Up Arrow)
Move the currently selected node before the previous sibling. (see example)
MOVE DOWN (Ctrl+Down Arrow)
Move the currently selected node after the next sibling. (see example)
DELETE
Delete the current node and of its children (if present).
  LAUNCH BROWSER (F9)
Launches a browser window to a blank page. If a browser window has already been launched by this application, clicking on this button focuses the browser window.
  VIEW WEB SITE (F10)
Launches a browser window, navigating to the specified web address. If a browser window has already been launched by this application, clicking on this button focuses the browser window and loads the specified web address.
