OVERVIEW — TIER 1

In response to the button click, the ButtonBox™ Desktop will launch a browser window (if it does not already have one open) to the primary web site for the selected category.

If the primary web site (also called the "root") has subtiers associated with it, those web links will be displayed in the lower part of the ButtonBox™ Desktop side panel (Figure 2). Subtiers are also referred to as "children".

The label associated with the primary web site will be displayed at the top of the list.

Figure 3 illustrates the corresponding mapping tree view. Note that the label associated with the currently selected web site is displayed in reverse video.

Now let's assume the user selects the first web link displayed in the lower part of the ButtonBox™ Desktop side panel, the one labeled "Photo Gallery".
