OVERVIEW — SUMMARY

A ButtonBox™ Desktop user can select a new category to explore at any time by clicking on a different button in the top part of the ButtonBox™ Desktop side panel. It should be noted that whenever a new category is selected, traversal always starts at the primary web site (i.e root).

It should be noted that a ButtonBox™ Desktop user cannot jump around in the web link hierarchy using the side panel. For example, they cannot go from the 3rd tier under "Variety" to the 4th tier under "News". They can only access primary web sites by clicking on a category button or make selections in the lower part of the ButtonBox™ Desktop side panel. With that said, there actually are ways to accomplish this "jumping" but that topic is discussed elsewhere.

SUMMARY
As stated at the beginning of this overview, it is important to understand the correlation between the hierarchy (i.e. mapping tree) and the information displayed in ButtonBox™ Desktop side panel in order to effectively use the Mapping Utility.

As long as you understand the basic terminology associated with the mapping tree, you will be able to use this online documentation to create our own mapping files with the Mapping Utility.
