OPTIONS — E-MAIL

The Mapping Utility allows you to send mapping files as E-mail attachments to other ButtonBox™ Desktop users. In order to support this, the application needs to gather information about your mail account.

Each field is described in detail below.

 
 
Mail Server: Enter the name of your outgoing mail server (for example, "mail.somedomain.com"). This is sometimes also referred to as your outgoing SMTP server.
Use Secure Password Authentication: Check this box if your mail server requires Secure Password Authentication. You must enter a username and password if you check this box. If you are unsure if your mail server requires this, please contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
  • Username: Enter the user name provided by your ISP or e-mail provider.
  • Password: Enter the password associated with the above username.
Your Name: Enter the name you would like to appear in the "From" field of your outing message (for example, "Joe User").
E-Mail Address: Enter your e-mail address. This is the address others will use to send e-mail to you (for example, "joe_user@somedomain.com").
