BUTTONBOX™ DESKTOP

Since you use the Mapping Utility to create a web link hierarchy for the ButtonBox™ Desktop application, a simulated side panel is provided for visual verification of the entered data.

For example, if you are working on configuring "My Buttons", you will be able to click on the "My Buttons" category in the side panel and have a browser launch to the root node you defined in your mapping tree. The labels for any children will be displayed in the lower portion of the side panel. You may click on any of these and watch the browser navigate to the corresponding web site.

The simulated ButtonBox™ Desktop side panel will always reflect your current mapping tree selection. This will allow you to "jump" to any point in your mapping tree without having to actually navigate the tree structure.

You can also immediately tell if the label you have entered for a specific node is too long for the side panel width.

NOTE: Button response on the ButtonBox™ Desktop is restricted to your allowed categories.

That is, if you are using the Mapping Utility for configuring "My Buttons", a browser will only be launched when you click on the "My Buttons" category. The rest of the categories will be unresponsive.

The simulated ButtonBox™ Desktop side panel also allows you to preview user-defined button images. To learn more, click here.
