Check for New E-mail:
This checkbox enables and disables the background mail monitoring feature.
You must specify a time interval (in minutes).
NOTE:
The following options and fields are only enabled for selection when mail monitoring is enabled.

Mail Server:
Enter the name of your incoming mail server (for example, "mail.somedomain.com").

Server Type:
Select the mail server type.
POP3 is the most common type where messages are automatically downloaded to your PC for viewing.
IMAP leaves the messages on the mail server.

| User Name: Enter the user name provided by your ISP or e-mail provider. |
| Password: Enter the password associated with the above User Name. |

Display System Tray Icon:
If this box is checked, a separate system tray icon will be displayed when a new message is detected (Figure 4).
To launch the e-mail application, double-click on the envelope in the system tray.

Display Popup Balloon:
You can also be notified of new messages with a small balloon popup over the system tray icon (Figure 8) by checking this box.

Play Sound:
If this box is checked, the selected sound is played when a new message is detected.
Selection is made via the drop-down list.
To hear the sound, click on the "Preview" button adjacent the drop-down list.
