DEFINING "MY BUTTONS"

You may assign up to seven (7) of your own navigation links. By default, the ButtonBox™ Desktop allows for one Top Level link and six (6) subtier links to be defined for the "My Buttons" category.

Instructions:

  1. Start by filling in a web address for the Top Level. This web site will be displayed whenever you click on the "My Buttons" category on the ButtonBox™ Desktop side panel.
NOTE: If you have a browser window currently open, you can fill in the Web Address field with the corresponding link by clicking on the "Use Current" button adjacent the entry.
  2. For the 6 subtier levels, fill in a label in addition to a web address. This label is what will be displayed in the lower portion of the ButtonBox™ Desktop side panel.
  3. Once you have entered your web sites, click on the "Update and Exit" button located at the bottom of the dialog.
NOTE: If you have entered a web address that is currently defined in the ButtonBox™ navigation system, you will be asked if you would like to "jump" directly to that level in the navigation hierarchy.

If you reply "No", the label and web address for that entry will be cleared.

  4. At anytime, you can launch the "Configure My Buttons" dialog and change any of your web links. The only restriction is that you have the Top Level entry defined if you want the "My Buttons" to active.

Advanced Options

If the basic "My Buttons" configuration does not meet your needs and you would like to define a larger mapping hierarchy, click on the "Advanced Options" button in the lower righthand corner of the "Configure My Buttons" dialog. This will launch the supplemental Mapping Utility.

NOTE: The "Advanced Options" button is only enabled when the Mapping Utility is installed on your PC.
For further information, please consult the Mapping Utility online help.
